Overall, the property itself was cozy, well organized, and mostly clean. The kitchen was well stocked with basics like plates and silverware, and we appreciated the bottled and sparkling water in the fridge. We did have to clean up several spider webs and kill a few spiders around the living room curtains when we arrived, but otherwise the space was clean. One consideration for families or anyone with mobility concerns is the access. Reaching the property requires going down several flights of stairs, including narrow stone steps. This was difficult with luggage and our 2-year-old, and the stairs were not well lit at night. Unfortunately, the biggest issue was how a water outage was handled. Shortly after arriving, we learned there was no running water due to city work. We completely understand this was outside the host’s control. However, we had just arrived after significant travel disruptions and needed to shower and get our family, including our 2-year-old, ready for a wedding rehearsal dinner. The alternative offered was $2 shower passes at a public recreation center, which wasn’t a practical solution for our family. Fortunately, the water returned around 3:30 PM, but we were still without running water for several hours after arriving. After declining the rec center option, we spoke with the property manager and were given the impression that some form of reimbursement could be provided by the host. When we followed up afterward, however, we were told that no reimbursement would be given. That conflicting communication was the most disappointing part. For us, it was less about the money and more about the communication and customer service. The property itself could easily have been a 4–5 star stay, but hospitality is also about how unexpected problems are handled. Given the response and communication surrounding the water outage, along with the smaller issues above, our overall experience was 3 stars.

This is in a beautiful neighborhood, and has everything you could possibly need for your stay. I will definitely stay there again. The owners are also very friendly and helpful.
